In a world that tells us exactly who we “ought” to be–what does that matter when faced with the very real human problems of lack and scarcity? How are we to respond to these crises of war and famine when the glorification of too much is the message that surrounds us? What does strong and ruthless mean when we use those words in the boardroom, versus what does it mean to be those things to humanity?
